This piece came out of a Creatober challenge I worked on during October 2021. When I started the project, I thought I would try a variety of art styles, but after the first day, I realized I wanted to keep going with the collages and the character to see where it would take me. It took me here. I thought often about adding faces to the children, but realized that I wanted them to represent all children, and to allow children to imagine themselves. The dogs are ours. Layla and Chili who came into our lives and bring us great joy and provide inspiration.
